Jeff Jarvis remembers the history of social media

I’ve got Ben Smith on KEEN ON tomorrow to talk about Traffic, his new history of publishing in the social media age. And last week I was in New York where interviewed the pioneering blogger Jeff Jarvis about the origins of social media. I’m not sure anyone would ever describe Jeff as wistful, but I sensed a little bit of nostalgia about his memories of that halcyon period in the early 21st century when we appeared on the brink of not just a new, but a better, media age. Sigh.
