He has worked on his 2023 book, EIGHTEEN DAYS IN OCTOBER: THE YOM KIPPUR WAR AND HOW IT CREATED THE MODERN MIDDLE EAST for over twen­ty years, vis­it­ing the bat­tle­fields, speak­ing to par­tic­i­pants and review­ing lit­er­al­ly thou­sands of pages of mate­r­i­al. He lives with his fam­i­ly in Lawrence, New York.
