That parts of the scientific community are pointing back towards the possibility of God may be well and good, but where does that leave 'us'? Barely twenty-five years after what is universally agreed to have been the bloodiest and most destructive century in human history and two decades into the new millennium, with little new hope but much foreboding, with issues so pressing, so urgent, so grave and divisive the world can barely discuss them let alone address and resolve them, where does progress come from? And there's the rub. For whatever this new secular concensus about the possibility of God may be, it does nothing to take mankind off the dangerous, slippery slope, which another scientific concensus strongly suggests; that we're heading for our own man made apocalypse! The bottom line is that there is no scientific, religious, philosophical or other human intellectual construct with the authority and real solutions to the gravest problems facing both mankind and the earth itself.
