Thanks for the prognostications. This was fun to think about.

Keith's final remark reminded me of Abundance, by Peter Diamandis. His point of view is that the coming abundance will be shared across all of humanity. And my view is that that's nonsense: because never before in the history of the world have wealth and power been shared freely as Diamandis writes about. IMO: Greed trumps Generosity.

PS: to Andrew, Rensselaer is pronounced "ren·suh·LEER." Named after the Dutch diamond merchant who was a powerful Patroon in the 17th century Dutch colony (Manhattan and thereabouts) before the Brits took over.
